It’s almost year-end, which means it’s time to start planning for the new year.
Soon it’ll be slow time again. A great time to clean up your desk, organize the shop, schedule those overdue 1-on-1s with your team, and reflect on how things went this past year.
In addition, as owners, we often overlook our own role. We spend all year solving problems, putting out fires, micromanaging, and keeping the machine moving. But we rarely pause to look in the mirror and ask the hard questions about ourselves and what we want our role to look like.
This is your opportunity to do exactly that.
I challenge you to step out of the shop — literally. Take a morning, grab a notebook, and dig deeper into both the shop-level and owner-level questions below.
