Pushing Employees to Self-Manage

Managing people is hard. Rehiring, thorough training, negative feedback, fire vs not decisions. It can be a lot. 

Yet it’s truly the skillset we need to get really good at when running our business. 

Rich Santos of Culture Studio said, “You’re not printing shirts, you’re managing people who print shirts.” That struck me because I’m passionate about the product itself, less so about the management side of the people who make it. 

To help me improve my people management skills, I look for frameworks to follow.
